Hemispheria is making temporary 3D public art sculptures using a collaborative approach. The artists inspire possible themes and guide the process of construction using willow and other natural materials using a weaving technique.
We work with volunteers of all backgrounds from youth to seniors, or target your specific group. Hemispheria is suitable for ages 8+ and no previous art skills are necessary. We facilitate workshops, discussions and art activities. We demonstrate the weaving process and guide the construction.
We have installed Hemispheria structures in Hyde Creek Community Centre, Gleneagles Elementary School, Harmony Arts Festival and along Grand Boulevard in North Vancouver. Each structure is unique and site specific.
