We are a team of public artists with a multi-disciplinary art practice. Since 2019, Elvira (AKA Elvis) and Dolores (AKA Lola) have enjoyed an evolving art practice together. Bringing our extensive individual experience as visual artists and landscape designers, we work with a range of form and media to bring colour, light and textures to our art expressions. Our synergy is aligned in bringing delight to our work.

Dolores Altin (AKA) Lola
I have been working as a multi-media artist and landscape designer for over 20 years. Several years ago, I began to blend traditional landscape architecture with public art and environmental education. The result has been successful placemaking with youth and other artists. I draw inspiration from nature and aim to create playful and meaningful art pieces that resonate with the community. My work conveys messages of environmental responsibility and celebrates nature and local culture.

Elvira Monteforte (AKA) Elvis
I am a happy multi-media, visual artist from Mexico City, now living in Vancouver. I create art from a variety of materials, some of which are packaging, recycling, plastics and natural materials. I transform them into “trash art” sculptures, and structures, applying my designs to enhance clothes, furniture and objects with art expressions. I’m also mural painter in the Trompe L’oeil style who loves colour and movement in my designs. My work challenges ideas about purpose, beauty, and time.
Our vision
We make art that makes a difference and that’s meant to be experienced in person. Our work is site-specific and colourful, often whimsical, and has the power to unify public spaces into community “places”. We strongly believe that art should be accessible to everyone, so we create pieces that can be enjoyed by all.
