Inspired by the children’s book by the same name, this artist residency takes advantage of lightweight textiles and simple sculpting by workshop participants to create “cloud formations”. These whimsical pieces were assembled into a large indoor 3D mural installed in Clayton Community Centre in Surrey, BC in the spring of 2024. Cheesecloth and old City of Surrey street banners were reused to create elaborate textures in this location.
