“Cause and Effect”

The concept for this mural tells the story of the cycle of materials processed by Hayer Demolition Services.  The story begins with the geologic history of Mitchell Island which used to be completely underwater. Over hundreds of years of deposition and river dynamics, the Island was created.  The Fraser River’s movement brought materials deposits and over time, soil and plant materials grew. Hayer Demolition is a recycler of materials, where they are separated and reused as resource materials in construction.

The block wall wall measures approximately 7′ tall x 100′ long. It was painted using acrylics over a tinted primer.
